Not sure that much needs to be said about this layout. Cute and bright just like the two little girls featured in it.

Thank God I Married A Real Man

This is just a silly layout showcasing my silly husband as he took apart the engine of his truck. This is not something his electrical engineer self does every day and it needed to be documented. My favorite part about this one is the brown Glimmer Mist I dripped on the layout. Reminds me of auto oil drops.

Sometimes, I just don't feel the need to put a title on my layout, or I just can't come up with one.

Hannah Funny

A sweet and simple layout about something funny my girl said that I wanted to document. I have always heard people tell me to write the funny things my kids say down. I was so good about doing this. Every time, I would enter it into the Notes section on my iPhone. Well wouldn't you know, my iPhone broke and there are quite a number of "funnies" that are lost forever. Words cannot express how sad I am about this. I would pay hundreds of dollars to retrieve them, but they're gone. So don't do what I did. Email the notes to yourself or write them down with an actual pen and paper.

These Two

I love this layout of my oldest daughter and husband. It lists their similarities. It will be so fun to look back years from now and see if they still share the same qualities.

Birds of a Feather

Well I don't know what I was thinking when I took this photograph of my layout. I think aside from the glare on the layout's photo, you can get the idea of the whole thing. I am almost positive that I used one of Maggie Holmes' layouts as inspiration for this layout, but that was 4+ months ago so I can't be sure. And how about that masking tape flower. So fun and so easy. I am sure you can Google just that and find a tutorial.

Getting Bigger

Could this one be any simpler? A few layers of patterned paper, a matted photo, journaling block made with scraps of paper, and some layered circle punches. Oh and I guess there's some letter stickers on there too.

Improvement!!!

This picture is taken by me as I am coming up on the finish line. I don't know anyone in it. LOL

Yesterday I ran a half marathon. I ran one last year as well and I am pleased to say I performed substantilally better this year, shaving almost a full minute off of my pace. The thing I am most proud of t his time, is that somehow, I managed to run the entire 13.1 miles. In all of my training runs over 8 miles, I have had to walk at least some of it. So I think I owe this accomplishment to the great energy of all the people both running and cheering.

Overall: 4694 out of 7269


For all of the women I placed: 2395 out of 4289


For all the females in my age group (F 30-34) I placed: 496 out of 844


Finish Time/Pace: 2:23:03 / Pace: 10:55


My Split Time at the 6.6 Mi mark: 1:14:20 Pace: 11:16 (meaning I somehow sped up in the 2nd half of the race)
